Aldis Hodge: Leverage Star and Luxury Watch Brand Owner

Aldis Hodge is the Leverage star who also appeared in Hidden Figures and Black Adam. He also runs a luxury watch brand of his own. Here is the verified career and record, and why the repeated claim that he is married is not true.

He is not the only actor to build a business beyond acting. Margot Robbie co-founded the independent production company LuckyChap Entertainment, one of the most successful in the industry.

The most common thing written about him online is that he is married. He is not publicly confirmed as married to anyone.

Who is Aldis Hodge?

Aldis Hodge is an American actor, producer, screenwriter, painter and watchmaker, born September 20, 1986.

His full name is Aldis Alexander Basil Hodge. He is best known for Alec Hardison in the TNT series Leverage. He also played MC Ren in Straight Outta Compton. Later roles included Levi Jackson in Hidden Figures and Alex Cross on Prime Video.

He also works as a writer and producer. Separately, he runs a luxury watch business.

He has an older brother, Edwin Hodge, who is also an actor.

Is Aldis Hodge married?

No. This is the most persistent false claim about him, and it is worth explaining properly rather than simply denying.

There is no wife. There is no wedding. There is no marriage date in any reliable source.

Wikipedia states that Hodge has a daughter with his former girlfriend, the painter Harmonia Rosales. It describes her as his ex-girlfriend, not his wife.

Farm biography sites nonetheless repeat a marriage claim. One of them concedes that the actor himself has not confirmed it.

Why do so many pages say Aldis Hodge has a wife?

The claim appears on a large number of biography pages, which is why it reads as established fact.

None of them cite a source. The pages repeat each other, and none traces back to a report, an interview, or a public record.

There is also a traceable origin for the error. Searches on this topic surface text about Sammy Davis Jr. and his widow Altovise, who married in 1970. That unrelated content has bled into Aldis Hodge results. It has attached a spouse who does not exist.

The result pages for this keyword are inverted in quality. A farm page outranks Wikipedia. That same page contains two factually wrong award claims alongside the false marriage framing.

The correct position is simple. No reputable outlet has ever reported Aldis Hodge marrying anyone.

Who is Harmonia Rosales?

Harmonia Rosales is a Chicago-born painter of Afro-Cuban heritage, born February 6, 1984.

Hodge and Rosales worked together on Through the Looking Glass. It was an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, held in January 2018. The Guardian covered the show.

She published her first book, Chronicles of Ori: An African Epic, in 2025.

The two were photographed together in public. Their relationship status is disputed. Neither has confirmed a marriage.

Does Aldis Hodge have a daughter?

Yes. He has one daughter, born around 2021.

Hodge has spoken warmly about her in interviews, calling her the light of his life. People and Today both covered those remarks.

Her name has not been published. Hodge and his family have kept it private, and this article will not guess it.

How did Aldis Hodge start?

Hodge was born in North Carolina. Sources disagree on whether that means Jacksonville or Onslow County. He has also been described as born in 1986 or 1987. The county-versus-city ambiguity is unresolved.

His parents, Aldis Basil Hodge and Yolette Evangeline Richardson, both served in the US Marine Corps.

He played clarinet and violin as a child. He then studied at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California.

His first film credit came at around nine years old. He played Raymond in Die Hard with a Vengeance in 1995.

His credited years of activity stretch from the early 1990s to the present.

What is Aldis Hodge known for?

Leverage, which ran on TNT from 2007 to 2012, established him as Alec Hardison, a charming hacker.

He played MC Ren in Straight Outta Compton in 2015. He then played Levi Jackson in Hidden Figures in 2016.

Hidden Figures earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2017 for the cast's performance. He was nominated in 2016, and again in 2021 for One Night in Miami.

He played Noah in WGN America's Underground in 2017. He played Jim Brown in Regina King's One Night in Miami in 2020.

He played Carter Hall, the Hawkman, in Black Adam in 2022.

In Cross, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in November 2024, he leads the cast as Alex Cross. He also served as executive producer on that series.

Amazon renewed Cross for a third season in 2026. Filming for it began in Toronto that April.

Is Aldis Hodge a watchmaker?

Yes, and it is the least reported part of his career.

He trained as a self-taught horologist. He founded the luxury watch brand A. Hodge Atelier.

In August 2020 he became a trustee of the Horological Society of New York. It is one of the oldest horological institutions in the English-speaking world.

Robb Report has documented the watchmaking work in detail.

What else does Aldis Hodge do?

His record extends well past acting.

He has written and produced his own work, including the 2024 feature Parallel.

He served as executive producer on City on a Hill. That credit covers sixteen episodes across 2021 and 2022.

He is also a painter, and his work has been exhibited alongside that of his former partner.

He is credited as a voice actor on animated projects. That includes a Green Lantern title in which he voiced John Stewart.

Taken together, this is a career in which he has usually worked on both sides of the camera.

That combination is rarer than it is often claimed to be. It is documented in his production credits rather than in his publicity.

What is Aldis Hodge's net worth?

No verified figure exists.

Farm sites publish several numbers. None trace to a filing, a property record, or a reported figure.

His watch business and his Cross residuals are the only legitimate economic signals here. Neither can be converted into a number responsibly.

Treat every net worth figure for Aldis Hodge online as invented.

What has Aldis Hodge won?

He won a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2017 for the Hidden Figures cast.

He shared the 2021 Film Independent Spirit Award for the Robert Altman Award with Regina King and others. The film was One Night in Miami.

Two claims circulating online are wrong. He has one SAG win, not two.

The NAACP Image Award for Hidden Figures was won by the film, not by him personally. His own nominations came as a supporting actor in 2021 and 2023.

Where does Aldis Hodge live?

That is not published, and this article will not speculate.

He keeps a low public profile outside work. He has not been shown to maintain a documented residence in any reliable source.

His professional bases are Los Angeles and Atlanta. Those follow from where his work has been produced.

Beyond that, no verified location information exists for him.

Who is Aldis Hodge's brother?

Edwin Hodge is his older brother, and he is also an actor.

The two have worked in the same industry. That is one reason Aldis Hodge's early credits are sometimes confused with his brother's.

Their careers are separate. Edwin Hodge has his own filmography, which is documented on IMDb.

What should you trust about Aldis Hodge online?

Trust the trade records.

IMDb, the Amazon MGM press site and the Screen Actors Guild awards tables are all reliable.

Watch the biography aggregators closely. They are where the marriage claim, the invented wife and the inflated award count come from.

Some of those pages rank above Wikipedia for his name. That is the core problem, not an edge case.

The horology side of his career is the least covered and the best sourced. Robb Report and the Horological Society of New York both document it properly.

If a fact about Aldis Hodge matters to you, check whether a primary record supports it before repeating it.
