Who is Gia Damon?
She is the middle daughter of Matt Damon and Luciana Bozán Barroso. Her father is an American actor, producer and screenwriter. He was born Matthew Paige Damon on October 8, 1970. His birthplace is Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He attended Harvard University. His listed years as active begin in 1987. His wife is Luciana Bozán Barroso, an Argentine bartender. They met while filming Stuck on You in Miami, in April 2003.
They became engaged in September 2005. They married in a private civil ceremony in December 2005. The ceremony took place at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. Gia Damon was born in 2008.
She is the second of the couple's three daughters.
What are Matt Damon's other daughters?
Two sisters are named on the same entry. Isabella Damon was born in 2006. She is the oldest of the three daughters. Stella Damon was born in 2010.
She is the youngest of the three daughters. Gia Damon, born in 2008, sits between the two of them. That makes her the middle daughter of three. That position is documented, and it is the whole of it.
No school, no award and no credit is attached to any of them. The entry names all three and stops there.
Who is Luciana Bozán Barroso?
She is Matt Damon's wife and the mother of his three daughters. Her surname before marriage is given as Bozón. She is described as Argentine. She was working as a bartender when the couple met.
That is how they met, according to the entry. They met on the set of Stuck on You in Miami. That film was part of Damon's early career, before his breakthrough. The meeting happened in April 2003.
They married three years later, in December 2005. Their first daughter was born the following year, in 2006.
What is Matt Damon's career like?
His entry documents a long and varied career. His listed occupations are actor, film producer and screenwriter. His years as active begin in 1987 and continue to the present. That span covers more than three decades.
He wrote and starred in his own films. Those films are credited to him as a writer as well as an actor. His early television work came before his film career. He attended Harvard University before turning to acting.
That combination of writing and performing is unusual. It explains why he has credits on both sides of a production.
Where does the family live?
The couple have lived in Miami and in New York City. Both cities are recorded directly in the entry. In 2018 Damon bought a luxury penthouse in Brooklyn Heights. That apartment was reported at a price of 16.5 million US dollars.
The Brooklyn Heights purchase is a documented property fact. It is also the most specific figure the entry gives about their housing. The family also has a connection to a nanny. Connie Simpson is recorded as having served as their nanny.
That is the only other household detail the entry carries.
What else does the entry record about him?
It records that Damon is a fan of the Boston Red Sox. After the team won the 2007 World Series, he narrated a DVD. That DVD commemorated the team's championship. He has competed in several World Series of Poker events.
Those events included the 2010 World Series of Poker main event. In 1998 he was eliminated from the WSOP by a professional player. That player was Doyle Brunson. Those details are recorded on the same entry.
They describe interests outside his acting career. The entry also records his political views. In December 2006 he discussed the Iraq War on a television programme. In January 2003 he expressed support for gun control.
Why is the name disputed?
Because two different versions are in circulation. The cited source names the middle daughter simply as Gia. It does not give her a middle name. Competing pages use the full name Gia Zavala Damon. Several describe her as Gia Zavala Damon in the headline and body alike.
The keyword attached to this article is Gia Zavala Damon. Anyone searching Gia Zavala Damon lands here first. That keyword is a search term, not a sourced record. So this article keeps the search term and does not assert the name. The distinction matters more than it may appear.
A middle name is a small fact, and it is easy to get wrong. Once one page states it, others copy it. The result is a name that looks sourced but is not. Where a source gives one name and pages give another, the source wins.
That rule is applied here without exception.
