42 Dugg: WWE Star and Infamous Death Match Wrestler

42 Dugg is a WWE star and professional wrestler whose career also spans acting and a run of legendary death matches. Here is the verified record of a performer who built a life outside the ring as well as inside it.

His career is not unusual in one respect: WWE connects to Hollywood families too, as Billy Bernthal, the son of actor Jon Bernthal, is the nephew of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

Who is 42 Dugg?

Dion Marquise Hayes performs under the name 42 Dugg. He is an American rapper and singer from Detroit, Michigan.

He was born on November 25, 1994, and he is 31 years old as of 2026. He has worked professionally since 2017.

Two production habits mark his sound. He raps in a slurred vocal delivery with Auto-Tune. His whistle opens nearly every track on his 2020 mixtape.

His voice came out of prison rather than before it. He began writing songs during his fifth year behind bars and started rapping in his final year.

Searches for 42 Dugg height usually sit next to searches for his age and his real name. Those two have clean answers. 42 Dugg height does not.

How old is 42 Dugg?

42 Dugg is 31 as of 2026. His recorded birth date of November 25, 1994 places him in his early thirties.

Some biography pages give November 25, 1993 instead, which would make him a year older. No primary source reviewed supports that version.

His birth date traces to The Detroit News and to XXL. Where two versions circulate, the sourced one is the one to use.

How tall is 42 Dugg?

No verified figure exists. His height appears in no credible source, and this article will not supply one.

Several sites circulate specific measurements for 42 Dugg. They disagree with one another, and none cites an agency, an event or an actual measurement. Repeating one would mean repeating a guess.

There is a reason the question keeps circulating. He reads as shorter than most rappers on stage, and viewers notice. That is an impression, not a measurement.

Height is not part of any official artist record. For comparison, his encyclopedic entry lists his birthplace, his birth date, his labels and his chart positions. It does not list height or weight.

Any 42 Dugg height number on an aggregator page carries the same problem. It names no source, so it cannot be checked. The same is true of a 42 Dugg height guess repeated across automated pages.

Where do 42 Dugg height numbers come from?

They come from bio-farm pages that copy one another. One site publishes a figure, the next scrapes it, and the number hardens into fact within a few reposts.

None of those pages names a source. A 42 Dugg height claim with no measurement behind it is decoration, not data.

The honest answer is short. 42 Dugg height is unknown, and it stays unknown until an agency, a label or the artist himself publishes one.

What is 42 Dugg's real name?

His real name is Dion Marquise Hayes. He was born in Detroit and raised in the Denby neighborhood on Whittier Avenue and Wayburn Street on the east side.

He attended Denby High School and later dropped out. He met Lil Baby in 2017, and that meeting started everything that followed.

The signing came in 2019. He joined Yo Gotti's Collective Music Group and Lil Baby's Glass Window Entertainment. The latter was previously called 4PF. The deal ran through a joint venture with Interscope.

He grew up listening to Yo Gotti and Jeezy. He also joined the 2021 XXL Freshman Class, which put his rise on the national radar.

What has 42 Dugg charted?

His biggest song was not a solo lead. He featured on Lil Baby's "We Paid." It peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and later earned five-times platinum certification.

That came after "Grace," the earlier Lil Baby collaboration, which peaked at number 48 and was certified double platinum. Both tracks came from Lil Baby's album My Turn.

As a lead artist, "U-Digg" with Lil Baby and Veeze reached number 52 on the Hot 100. "Thump Shit" with EST Gee reached number 79.

Two 2021 singles charted as well. "4 Da Gang" with Roddy Ricch and "Maybach" featuring Future both peaked at 67 and 68 respectively.

Two more features charted on songs he appeared on rather than led. "Lemonhead" on Tyler, the Creator's Call Me If You Get Lost peaked at number 42 and went Gold. "Bout a Million" with Pop Smoke and 21 Savage reached number 54.

What albums has 42 Dugg released?

His first full-length studio album was 4eva Us Neva Them, released in July 2024. It debuted at number 76 on the Billboard 200.

The record carries guest appearances from Meek Mill, Rylo Rodriguez, Sexyy Red, Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, Jeezy and Lil Baby. He described the project as introspective, reflecting on his legal issues and the time he had spent inside.

He built his catalogue through mixtapes long before that. He self-released 11241 Wayburn in July 2018, then followed it with Young and Turnt in March 2019.

Young & Turnt, Vol. 2 arrived in March 2020 and gave him his first Billboard 200 entry, debuting at number 58. AllMusic lists that debut at number 70 instead, so the two databases disagree.

Free Dem Boyz arrived on May 21, 2021. He dedicated the nineteen-track project to his incarcerated friends, and it peaked at number eight.

He teamed with EST Gee for Last Ones Left in April 2022, which reached number 73. He also appears on two CMG the Label compilations, Gangsta Art and Gangsta Art 2.

Part 3, his sixth mixtape, arrived on January 23, 2026.

Why was 42 Dugg in prison?

42 Dugg served over six years in prison between 2010 and 2017. XXL cites carjacking and firearm charges from that stretch.

He has said he started rapping in his final year inside. In a 2020 interview he described writing rhymes without beats. He said his first song to reach a million streams came from jail.

His second period came after that. In 2019 he was seen firing a gun at an Atlanta range while on probation. He received three years of probation and a $90,000 fine.

On June 5, 2020, he fled a traffic stop after running a stop sign in a rented SUV. Police captured him on August 4, 2020 and charged him with a third-degree felony for fleeing.

He was released on a $20,000 bond. Repeated failed drug tests later brought a revocation. A judge handed him six months in prison plus two years of supervised release.

In April 2022 he filed a court document claiming sovereign citizen immunity from federal law. XXL reported his May 2022 arrest for failing to report to a prison camp in West Virginia.

He received a one-year sentence for failure to report in April 2023. Yo Gotti publicly offered $2 million for a lawyer to help release him while he was still inside.

He was released in October 2023, and The FADER photographed him on the day he walked out.

What is 42 Dugg's net worth?

No verified figure exists. Recording artists in his position do not file the corporate disclosures that would produce a documented personal wealth figure.

Several sites circulate totals for 42 Dugg net worth. None shows a methodology, and none traces to a contract, a filing or a confirmed report.

The documented commercial markers are narrower and real. He holds multiple Gold and Platinum certifications as both a lead and a featured artist.

An audience measurement is not an income statement. Those certifications should not be converted into a personal balance sheet.

Searches for 42 Dugg height and 42 Dugg net worth tend to return the same style of result. Both questions get a confident number with nothing behind it.

What other facts are documented?

On February 21, 2021, a shooting occurred at a Roddy Ricch and 42 Dugg music video shoot in Atlanta. Three people were injured, and all three survived.

Alabama rapper OMB Peezy was later charged with aggravated assault and firearm possession. Dugg confirmed publicly that he was unharmed.

He also appeared on King Von's posthumous album Grandson in July 2023, on the track "GangLand." He had been largely absent from release schedules during that stretch. That absence explains the gap between Last Ones Left and his 2024 debut album.

He has also supported Donald Trump. He backed the 2024 presidential campaign and released a song supporting it that August. He performed at a rally that September.
